General conditions of sale

Your reservation contract in complete clarity.


1. Subject

These general conditions of sale govern the legal relationship between the Compagnie de Vichy and the client.

2. Reservations

All reservations will be effective upon receipt of a payment of 25% deposit of the amount of treatments reserved (à la carte or package).

3. Payment of the balance

The amount corresponding to the security deposit will be deducted from your bill.

4. Rates

Our rates refer to net price. Each program indicates services and benefits included. They are valid for the current year from January 1 to December 31, except for modifications made over the course of the year due to a change in the VAT rate or to reflect particular promotional offers.

4.1 Specials and exclusive offers

These offers are applicable depending on availability, they may not be modified, and they may not be added on to any other current offer or particular incentive.

5. Changes

5.1. Changes due to actions by the client

Any change with respect to the initial reservation should be addressed in writing specifying the new request, to be followed by express acknowledgment of receipt, in writing, by the Compagnie de Vichy. Requests for modifications of this nature can not be made within a period of less than 8 days before predetermined arrival. The treatments and activities from package offers can not be reimbursed.

5.1.1. Treatment recommendations and programming

The treatment time indicated is the actual time spent on treatment. It does not include time for disrobing or getting dressed again after treatment. Notice of any change to your reservation must be made 24 hours in advance. Any treatment service that has not been canceled within 12 hours will be billed in its entirety (except for medical reasons).

5.2. Changes due to the Compagnie de Vichy

The Compagnie de Vichy reserves the right to modify the contents of the program or certain predetermined services if unexpected or unavoidable factors require it. In such an event, the Compagnie de Vichy will do its best to provide, as a replacement, services of equivalent quality to the client.

6. Cancellation

6.1. Cancellation made by the client

Any cancellation should be addressed to the Compagnie de Vichy by certified mail with acknowledgment of receipt, and will be considered starting on the date the mail was received. This mail should be addressed to the Compagnie de Vichy before the predetermined arrival date. Over the course of the client's stay, should the client be late, unperformed services will not be eligible for reimbursement and may only be exchanged based on a medical recommendation. Shortened duration of treatment: total payment for the treatment and for the package is due. Modifications made to the program by the client: an additional fee will apply according to the schedule of rates offered upon check-in. In the event of a cancellation, and according to the provisions determined in article 1590 of French Civil Law "any security deposit made will be permanently acquired." Up to 2 weeks before the date of arrival at the latest, it is possible to reapply the deposit made to a new stay in the same season, subject to availability.

6.2. Cancellation made by the Compagnie de Vichy

When for reasons outside the control of the Compagnie de Vichy, unforeseen events require it, the Compagnie de Vichy will ensure the reimbursement of funds paid as determined by services not provided. However, any claim to indemnity will be excluded.

7. Liability

If a client is experiencing health concerns, it is his/her responsibility to consult a physician before undergoing spa treatment. Clients are required to provide a clearance for the package of treatments and services selected. In no case will the Compagnie de Vichy be held responsible for circumstances stemming from acts of God, acts by third parties outside the performance of services anticipated in the contract or the poor execution of the contract deemed the responsibility of the client. All information related to prices, services, administrative and health formalities listed in our brochures are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a definitive commitment on our part.

8. Claims

Any claim made should be addressed to the Compagnie de Vichy by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. It must be accompanied by documentation and be submitted no later than 15 days after client's return. Beyond this time limit or without documentation, no claim will be taken into consideration.

9. Assignment of jurisdiction

In case of litigation or should parties be unable to reach a mutual settlement, any dispute will be heard in the Court of First Instance in Cusset. Note: package price does not include transfers from the train station or airport, limousine service, beauty treatments, massages or Spa treatments in addition to the present package, honorarium payments for specialist physician consultants, additional exams, and personal expenses.
